Journal [Oct. 9th, 2004|10:03 am]
Saravana
PPS: I am also realizing how nice it is to go back into your own entries when you wrote them for yourself, even if the expression is not refined and the post unstructured.

I am not anymore comfortable with the mix "blog" and "journal". I am tending towards making a clear separation between the two. And this, I have decided, will be my journal.

I, for one, am glad you've made this choice.

Although I don't reply very often, I appreciate your voice.

I always thought a journal and a blog were pretty much the same thing. What's the difference?

Re: educate me!

The blog is turned outward, the journal inward. It is a question of for whom you are writing it. My journal I write for myself, and don't feel the need to share. My blog I write for others, so as to entertain, commune with.

I see. That makes sense.

I guess my LiveJournal is a bit of both then; I write a lot of private posts and restricted friends posts, mostly I write when there's something I have to 'let out' (as opposed to entertaining others and writing about what they want to hear) or because it's something I want to remember later. But I also like getting responses from others, for feedback and discussion.
